Thanks to some digging through the CBC archives, this clip of a young Keanu Reeves reporting on the first annual Canadian International Teddy Bear Convention for "Going Great" has surfaced on YouTube:
He looks pretty cute, but I'm not so sure about his journalistic style. When he asks a kid, "What do your friends think about you collecting bears?", he does so with this accusatory tone, followed by an evil chuckle. No wonder the child gets defensive in his reply: "They don't mind. It's just collecting - it's not as if I play with them! They know I'm not the kind of kid to really play with them!"
Er, yeah. Follow this with a scene in which Reeves grabs a huge stuffed bear and pretends it's attacking his face, and you have the makings of a wicked amateur horror movie.
